CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Ron Sanchez, UVA basketball’s interim knicks vs warriors score head coach, is out as the program’s whole-time chief.

In line with a UVA Athletics information release, Athletics Director Carla Williams declared the choice Wednesday, March 12.

“I'm grateful to mentor Sanchez for accepting this position throughout such a critical time for This system,” Williams explained, in accordance with the news release. “Ron plus the employees offered wonderful balance, assistance and assist for that younger Males to the crew and we've been thankful for his dedication to UVA and the values which are foundational to Virginia Males’s basketball.”

Sanchez was named Virginia’s interim head coach in October when Tony Bennett astonishingly retired a few weeks before the year started out.

Virginia concluded this season with a file of fifteen-seventeen.

Sanchez has long been a Component of UVA’s basketball plan for eleven seasons, 10 as an assistant to Bennett.
